1. Who we are
Keela Permaculture Farm is run by Laurence Manchee, a self-employed farmer and permaculture teacher, at Vale Leitão, Mata da Rainha, Fundão, Portugal. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.
This policy covers our website keelayogafarm.com, our course bookings, volunteer applications, newsletter and enquiries.
To ask anything about your data, or to use any of your rights, email info@keelayogafarm.com or message us on WhatsApp at +351 960 188 968. We reply within 30 days, usually much sooner.
2. What we collect and why

We also keep booking and invoice records because Portuguese tax law requires it.
Photos. We take photos during courses and farm life and share them on our website and social media. Guests and volunteers choose whether to allow this on the waiver form they sign on arrival. You can change your mind and ask us to remove a photo of you at any time.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decisions about you.
3. Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted services to run the farm’s bookings, email and website. They only process your data on our instructions.

We may also share information when the law requires it, for example with the tax authority or in response to a court order.
4. Cookies and analytics
When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept cookies. Until you choose, only cookies needed to run the site are set. If you reject, Google receives only anonymous signals with no cookies and no way to recognise you.

5. Data sent outside the EU
Some of the services above are based in the USA. Where data leaves the EU, it is protected by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
6. How long we keep it

7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to:
- show you the personal data we hold about you
- correct anything that is wrong

- withdraw any consent you gave, at any time
To do any of this, contact us using the details in section 1. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to Portugal’s data protection authority, the CNPD.
8. Children
Our courses, stays and volunteer programme are for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data about anyone under 18.
9. Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our tools or practices change, and show the date of the latest version at the top.
