Keela Permaculture Farm offers certified residential permaculture courses in Central Portugal. Since 2016, we have trained hundreds of students on our 18-hectare off-grid farm. Our courses range from 5-day food forest workshops and 12-day Permaculture Design Certificates (PDC) to a 20-day PDC permaculture combo course.

Each of the above 12-day permaculture courses in Portugal is followed by one of the below 5-day specialist courses, since you may be travelling all this way, you can opt to join both courses and get a €150 discount plus two days in between to enjoy the farm and local area.
No experience is needed for either course, but the Permaculture Design Course offers a broader introduction to permaculture and is better suited to someone new to it. The specialist courses are suitable if you are only interested in the topic or you have completed a PDC and want to dive deeper into a topic
Join us for a one-week Organic Gardening Course and learn about many aspects of growing nutritious, dense, organic vegetables. Live in and explore our Kitchen Garden, Food Forests, Agroforests, Greenhouse and Plant Nursery.
