In 2019 we are offering an internship to anyone who would like to learn how to build using natural building techniques and put these techniques into practice while living in an off-grid permaculture farm.

Dates: 27th June – 28th August 2019
This will include:
- Attending an 8 day Introduction to Natural Building Course by experienced teacher Barbara Leite – click here for more information
- Supporting an 8 day Introduction to Natural Building Course by experienced teacher Barbara Leite – click here for more information
- Attending 5 weekend Natural Building courses by experienced teacher Barbara Leite
- 2 months of working on the builds with experienced natural builders and Laurence Manchee, founder of Keela Yoga Farm and student of Barbara who has now built two straw bale houses and a few small buildings.
- During this time you will learn new practical skills that are required to be able to finish a house including:
- Carpentry
- Dry stone wall
- Strawbale
- Wattle and daub
- Earth bags
- Rainwater catchment
- Basic plumbing
- Basic electrics
- Installing a floor
- During this period we will build:
- A yoga room with straw bales
- A shower room with wattle and daub
- A tiny house using stone and a reciprocal roof
- Finish many natural building projects around the farm including
- A long drop toilet
- A chicken house
- A natural clay floor
- 3 healthy vegetarian meals a day
- Experience living on a permaculture farm in a community environment
- Daily Yoga Class
- Accomodation in your own tent, however for a small extra fee you can rent one of our many accommodation options
