We will open our farm up for a tour followed by dinner and drinks on Friday, 18th August 2023

6 pm – Farm Tour €5
Children under 12 free
This will be a two-hour tour and discussion on our various permaculture and off-grid systems, including the long drop vermiculture dry toilet (as featured in Permaculture Magazine), the permaculture chicken system (as featured in Permaculture Magazine), our natural buildings, vegetable gardens, automated irrigation, food forest, agroforest and reforestation plantations. We will also look at cover crops, pasture, and sheep and pig systems. We can also answer questions on subsidies, organic farming and general off-grid living.
Tour host: Laurence Manchee.
Laurence is a certified teacher of Permaculture by the Permaculture Association, UK. He teaches permaculture design, food forest and natural building courses.
8 pm Dinner – Curry Night (must pre-book)
Vegetable vegan curry, rice & side dish €10 / Lamb keema curry, rice & side dish €12
Children under 12 years old half price.
All of the produce is organic and (where possible) home-grown and from our small market garden. Please state your preference of dish when booking and any other food allergies.
9 pm onwards – Live DJ and bar
Open Farm shop
Fresh organic veggies and other farm produce will be available for purchase from our farm shop.

- Honesty bar for drinks
- The junta has repaired our track, but do not bring down very low cars. Low cars can be parked at the top of the lane, the walk is then around 8-10 minutes but you should be able to jump into someone else’s car.
